Both methods will bring you different benefits, so I have found that a 50/50 balance to begin with is the right way to go. A clear marketing framework and budget must be set when it comes to paid advertising, and stick to it. Of course different size budgets will achieve different results but that doesn’t mean you can’t drive high traffic to your site with a modest outlay.

There are many forms of paid options you can explore. To mention a few, there are banner advertising, Google ad words, PPC and loads more. When starting out I found the following to work effectively, drive traffic to your site therefore increasing your sales revenue.

PPC (Pay Per Click) on a search engine is a good way to start out, and can be managed to within 10% of your budget. Each letter is eight feet tall.

The moving letters are about eight feet high and are made of high intensity individual lights. Like the bank sign, the message can blink on and off, can be made bold, can travel right or left, can scroll up or down, and can sweep right or left. By using a creative variety, the attention of the audience is kept as they wonder what else it will say.

Though not yet as colorful, aerial nighttime ads have several advantages over daytime banner ads. First, there is no need for risky low level flying in order to hook the message and get it into the sky. Second, preparing the message is much simpler. Just type into the computer what you want displayed and the effects desired. No printing is needed. The message can be repeated or reworded for variety. Third, the message can be longer because it is only displayed a few words at a time. One disadvantage would be that fewer people are generally outside at night looking into the sky.

If someone is interested in an aerial night message, the first step is to plan a message. The message should be less than 45 characters (so it can all be read in time) yet contain all the information you want to get across. Using Balloons in Aerial Advertising

Remote controlled balloons are a nice compromise, inexpensive but further off the ground than helium balloons. These balloons are heavier than air since they have to come down. Without the weight of a pilot, the balloon doesn’t need to be as large to carry the ad.

The balloon runs off the power of a small electric motor and an pusher prop. The angle of the propeller is adjusted by the remote control transmitter. When the propeller goes up, the rear of the balloon goes down and balloon rises, and vice versa. Left and right controls work the same. It resembles a slow moving model plane. If this remote controlled balloon displays an advertisement, the controller can make it pass safely over a group of people as many times as he likes, then land it at his feet.

How large are these remote controlled balloons? The size varies from about six feet to nearly twenty feet. Without the fuss of helium or hot air, launching them is safe and inexpensive. Naturally wind could cancel a flight since controlling them is very delicate.

Costs largely depend on the size of the balloon desired. One company sells six foot balloons with the ad displayed on the side for 1500 dollars. The thirteen feet costs about 4000 dollars and the seventeen feet balloon sells for about 7000 dollars. Of course, there is no expense to hire a pilot with a remote controlled balloon. Fly it as you like, and as often as you like as weather permits.
