NATURALLY NUDE

Start with the foundation. The pan stick you use should be a mix of brown and yellow base colours that blend with your skin tone and give it a healthy tinge. “Apply a beige eyeshadow lightly between your crease line and brow bone,” says Monica. The eyeshadow should be a shade lighter than your skin colour to open up your eyes. Next is the eyeliner. Using a brown ‘kalal’, draw a line just under the lower lash line. Smudge it well to give a soft look. Now curl your lashes and apply some chocolate mascara. You can choose from glossy or matte lips depending on the time of day. DON’T OVERDO

Even a safe colour like brown can go all wrong if you use too much of it on the face. To avoid this, choose to emphasise one aspect of your face – your eyes or your lips. Says Monica, “If you are going for an eye-heavy look, avoid heavy colour on the lips. Use foundation on the lips and cover up with a gloss.” If you want to work the other way round and emphasise your lips, a coffee shimmer shade, without any lip pencil and pale or nude eyeshadow combo will bring out your sexy pout!
